Hilary Palmer Wins at the Scottish Six Days
Hilary put in a very strong performance at the Scottish Six Days event this year with no less than three wins.  Read more about this in the latest NOC News as well as:

The latest EMEWS (#297) has just been published.  This issue includes an update on the current regional league standings, forthcoming fixtures, and some background information about Chinley Churn (the venue for the Midlands Champ’s in September).  The latest news from the EMOA Committee, the Orienteering Foundation and EMJOS are also included.

The City Race Euro Tour comes to the East Midlands in July with NOC hosting a national urban event on the day before the main CRET event in Lincoln on the Sunday.  Read about what's planned in the latest edition of the newsletter, along with information about:

  • NOC performance at the British Longs
  • Changes in the Finish Team line-up
  • How two NOC members have successfully taken on the role of event Organiser and Planner

If you are not able to attend an orienteering event, you may want to try some of the smart phone courses available across the NOC area.

These use an app on a mobile phone, and punching at a control sites is detected by the GPS in the phone. The app and the courses are all free and can be used at any time, providing you observe any COVID19 rules, and don't go in anti-social hours.
