MapActive course
It doesn't matter if you have no previous experience of map reading or orienteering - participants will go at their own pace - walking, jogging or running.
If you are returning to the sport or have had some experience in the past and want to improve your skills, you can join at Stage 2.
This Autumn instance of MapActive is limited to those aged 18 or over. We hope to run the programme again in the Spring where we can accommodate younger participants.
For further information and details of how to sign-up visit the MapActive page.
NOC Event 18th December 2022 - Change of Venue
This has resulted in a considerable increase in the number of out-of-bounds areas that will be in place in December 2022. A consequence of this is a much reduced area available for planning Level C orienteering courses.
After due consideration, it has been decided to change the venue for the 18th December event from Sherwood Pines to Walesby Activity Centre which has provided an enjoyable environment many times in the past.
Course planning is now underway for a Level C Middle Distance event at Walesby on the 18th.
Please make a note of the venue change and keep a look out for event information which will be published in due course.

Compass Sport Trophy entry and relay entries
Please contact me if you are interested in any shared transport arrangements.
Every NOC member who completes their course at the event will have a positive effect on the team result because they will be depriving runners from other clubs of valuable points even if not directly counting for NOC. Consequently, this request is addressed to all members of the club.
All NOC entries for the Compass Sport Trophy heat have to come through me so it would be good if you could let me know if you can run as soon as possible, and not later than 21st January.
Attached is an entry request form for this event and also for the relay events at the British and the JK which are shortly after the Compass Sport Cup heat.
If you plan to go to the British Championships or the JK note that the first closing date for less expensive entries to the individual races is 16th January and you will need to have renewed your BOF membership well before then.
If you have any questions, please e-mail me
