Paid-up NOC members were recently sent an email with details of the Annual General Meeting on the 9th October being held as a Zoom call.

As NOC is now considered a ‘small club’, we need to ensure that we have enough members on the Zoom call to make the required decisions on the night.

We would be grateful if NOC members could check their email Inboxes (and Spam folders as the Mailchimp application is prone to having emails misdirected into junk folders) and respond to the AGM request accordingly.

The AGM itself is not expected to last very long and members are not obliged to participate in subsequent discussions if they do not wish to.

If you are a paid-up NOC member but have not received the AGM notification email, please contact Membership@noc-uk.org

Thanks in advance for your response.

The results are now available on:   The Start Kite.     Apologies for the delay.

Routegadget is expected to be available this evening.

Hilary Palmer and Michael Napier continued their winning ways by finishing first overall in their respective classes at the Scottish 6  Days event held at Moray in August.

  • Notts’ Uni’ event on 3rd September

A message from our Team Manager:

Dear fellow NOC member,

I hope the Christmas break has left you eager for some quality orienteering in 2023.

This year our Compass Sport Trophy heat is on 12 th February at Beacon Hill Country Park near Loughborough. We are racing against HALO, LEI, and SMOC and the winning team will go through to the final. Last year we only just missed qualifying for the final at an event that was 95 miles away from the centre of Nottingham. This time it is much nearer.

Every NOC member who completes their course at the event will have a positive effect on the team result because they will be depriving runners from other clubs of valuable points even if not directly counting for NOC. Consequently, this request is addressed to all members of the club.

All NOC entries for the Compass Sport Trophy heat must come through me so it would be good if you could let me know if you can run as soon as possible, and not later than 23 rd January.

The following link downloads the Event Entry Request Formfor this event and also for the relay events at the British and the JK which are in March and April.

You do not have to pay to run in these team events because the club pays the entry fees on your behalf.

If you have any questions, please e-mail me at: teamcaptain@noc-uk.org

Many thanks.

Mick Lucking

NOC Team Manager
