Walesby Forest event 22 December 2024

Forestry England announced on Friday afternoon that NOC’s access to their forests in North Nottinghamshire would not be permitted on Sunday 22 December due to the forecast high winds.

NOC’s event officials had the choice of cancelling the event or replanning the four longest courses which were using FE land.

We chose the replanning option and we hope that you will still enjoy your courses in this great little area followed by the festive refreshments in the marquee.

The two Green courses are slightly shorter; the Blue and Brown courses were affected more. Fortunately, our printer was kind enough to agree to print new maps for the event at extremely short notice.

New course information:

Green 4.4km; 35m climb; 17 controls

LOG Green 4.2km; 35m climb; 19 c

Blue 5.1km; 40m climb; 18c

Brown 5.3km; 50m climb; 20c

Today, the website is being updated.  The main change is to use Bootstrap 5 as the layout framework.  Numerous other little changes have been included.   Everything looks OK in the 'development testbed', but doubtless something will not be quite right when in 'production phase'.   Please don't just ignore any glaring problem.   Let me know !    email Website (Ray Barnes)
